Before you file.
Should I search before filing?
Yes. TÜRKPATENT refuses on its own only marks that are identical or indistinguishably similar to an earlier mark for the same or same-type goods or services. For other similar marks, it is up to the earlier owner to oppose. A search shows you that risk before you spend on the name.
How long does a registration last?
Ten years from the filing date, renewable for further ten-year periods without limit.
I am outside Türkiye. Do I need a local representative?
Yes. Applicants not resident in Türkiye act through a registered trademark attorney. We work with our partner attorney, so you keep one point of contact.
